Rani spent 25 years in education in the high school and TAFE sectors teaching European languages and English as a Second Language.

In 2011, Rani felt called to a new vocation of hospital chaplaincy, working in the context of those who had experienced pregnancy loss, cancer, mental health illness, surgery, chronic pain and those preparing for the end of their life (adults and children).

Rani is a mother of two beautiful adult daughters, a wife to Michael (Anglican priest and writer) and studies Spiritual Direction part-time.

Since March 2022, Rani has valued and enjoyed her pastoral connection with members across the Banyule Uniting Network. She looks forward to continuing this pastoral journey with individuals, small groups and worshipping communities as we all discover together the movement of God’s spirit in our lives.
“I love people! I believe we are each a unique, loved and an unrepeatable gift to this world. Pastoral care for me is about seeing the beloved in each person, listening and attending to what is unfolding within each of us, at every stage of life.”
“I believe in honouring each person’s story and reflecting back their own God-given worth. I value working as part of a team as representatives of God’s love, faithfulness, compassion, mercy and respect.”
” I love singing with others, nature, eating chicken biriani and spending quality time with family and friends. Our move to Melbourne has truly been a tree change and I am a fan of four seasons- even in one day!”
